The Up Network is led by Co-Founder Roy Liu, who played a key role in integrating TRON into Samsung's mobile phones in 2019.
"Every Web3 user is using an Apple or Google smartphone, but most Web3 apps are banned or handicapped due to the unfriendly terms on Apple's AppStore and Google's Play Store," says Roy Liu.
The Up Mobile aims to overcome these limitations by offering a Web3-first user experience and an ecosystem that supports innovation and distribution.
The Up Mobile will utilize advanced biometric sensors combined with zero-knowledge proofs to verify blockchain identities. This approach ensures that user identities are authenticated without revealing sensitive information, maintaining privacy and security.
Zero-knowledge proof technology ensures that identity is proven without revealing any biometric data, maintaining user privacy.
The Up Mobile's operating system is designed to support both MoveVM and EVM, providing a versatile platform for decentralized applications (dApps). This includes DePIN, DeFi, GameFi, and SocialFi. By supporting these protocols, the Up Mobile aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem for Web3 users.
The Movement network reportedly offers significant benefits, including a high throughput of over 30,000 transactions per second and localized fee markets. These features ensure cost-effective operations and reduce network congestion, enhancing the user experience.
One of the standout features of the Up Mobile is its ability to reward users for their attention. Integrated local large language models will assist users in earning rewards through Proof of Attention activities.
Users of the Up Mobile will be able to claim airdrops from Movement Labs, Sui, Aptos, and all EVM-based projects. This incentive aims to attract users to the new ecosystem and provide them with immediate value.
Movement Labs is the creator of the Movement SDK, a modular framework for building and deploying Move-based infrastructure, applications, and blockchains in any distributed environment.
The team’s first release, M1, redefines Layer 1 as a vertically composable and horizontally scalable framework. This allows builders to customize modular and interoperable app-chains with a diverse user base and accessible liquidity.
Now with the upcoming smartphone, the Movement Lab’s team hopes to efficiently onboard the next billion users by leveraging its high throughput and localized fee markets. Up Network has already secured partnerships with mainstream and Web3 ISPs, as well as traditional brands, to power its rewards-driven ecosystem.
