With around 4.5 million participants and 2.4 million ‘Social Profile’ set-ups, Pi Network’s ‘Pi2Day’ challenge may be seen as a major success.
For the period between June 28th and July 11th 2024, Pi Network held its official ‘Pi2Day Progress to Open Network Challenge’.
The challenge revolved around a handful of “necessary Pioneer actions”, required for the ecosystem to reach its so-called ‘Open Network Goals’.
These actions included, but were not limited to…
“The Progress to Open Network Challenge is a lighthearted way to add some fun to your day, highlight new programs and features, and most importantly, take meaningful steps to help us reach our Open Network goals”, reads an official blog post.
However, now the challenge is at an end, a more recently published article shared some insight into the results of the initiative itself…
Pi2Day Challenge - How It Went
“The level of participation during the Progress to Open Network Challenge was impressive, and we’re thrilled that so many Pioneers enjoyed the experience as much as we did”
According to the post, an incredible 4.5 million so-called ‘Pioneers’ participated in the recently concluded challenge, with a full 1.4 million users successfully completing all the tasks required as part of the challenge.
The new Pi Social Profiles feature also debuted during the challenge and it garnered a healthy 2.4 million new profile set-ups - a number that has likely grown since Pi Network published its Pi2Day recap.
What’s more, the #PiMusic Fireside Forum festival saw significant traction…
“Nearly 100,000 submissions were also posted in the #PiMusic festival on Fireside Forum, showcasing the creative, passionate spirit of the Pi community. Look out for a showcase of top submissions in both #PiMusic and #Photography soon!”
Pi Network’s official blog post ends by praising the engagement the Pi ecosystem has seen, not only during the recent challenge, but also on a daily basis.
It also references the project’s eventual transition to its so-called ‘Open Network’ stage - Something it has promised will take place in 2024, provided certain ‘conditions’ are met. The project is yet to give a specific date for the hotly anticipated transition.
