The Gate Ventures, the venture capital arm of Gate.io, and the newly established Blockchain Center in Abu Dhabi announced the launch of Falcon Gate Ventures, a $100 million fund dedicated to advancing global blockchain innovation on Aug. 19.
This partnership aims to support and accelerate the development of decentralized technologies and applications across key regions worldwide.
Falcon Gate Ventures will focus on investing in high-potential Web3 projects and supporting educational and research initiatives. Apart from financial backing, the fund aims to foster a collaborative ecosystem that fosters global talent and technological innovation.
The focus will be on regions including the United States, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) area.
The fund plans to work closely with global regulators to develop frameworks that encourage innovation while ensuring user protection.
Moreover, Falcon Gate Ventures will leverage the combined expertise and resources of Gate Ventures and the Blockchain Center to nurture emerging talent and pioneering projects.
Abdulla Al Dhaheri, CEO of the Blockchain Center in Abu Dhabi, spoke about the fund's mission to scale high-potential blockchain projects.
"Our collaboration with Gate Ventures aligns with our goal to accelerate blockchain adoption and impact both in the UAE and globally," said Al Dhaheri.
The Falcon Gate Ventures team welcomed applications from Web3 projects in need of financial, technical, or scaling assistance.
The Blockchain Center in Abu Dhabi, officially launched on August 1, has quickly become a pivotal player in the region's blockchain landscape.
The center is dedicated to establishing Abu Dhabi as a global leader in blockchain technology. It offers a range of services and support for academic institutions, enterprises, and startups, creating a robust ecosystem for innovation.
As part of its collaboration with Gate Ventures, the Blockchain Center aims to strengthen the UAE's position as a hub in the international digital economy. partnerships.
