ConsenSys to air drop NFT art collection celebrating the Etheruem Merge.
With solid traction building around The Merge, ConsenSys will release an exclusive NFT collection for Ethereum's historic upgrade.
Inspired by The Merge, ConsenSys' NFT Regenesis collection will be comprised of different versions of green themed NFTs. The NFT drop celebrates the world of elaborately detailed simulation technology, and demonstrates the benefits of The Merge - sustainability, security, and scalability. ConsenSys will collaborate with artist Chris Skinner and animation studio Keithcity Group to design Regenesis.
ConsenSys describes Regenesis as a collection of artworks commemorating a crucial technological milestone in the development of Web3. As a piece of technological memorabilia, the utility of this collection is as a token of proof that the NFT’s owners have witnessed one of the most significant advancements in the history of the cryptocurrency industry.
The central theme of Regenesis will highlight the ambitious architecture in the Web3 space of Ethereum and the improved efficiency in terms of transaction speed and energy savings on the platform side. Based on a report from the Ethereum Foundation, the transition to Proof-of-Stake (PoS) is estimated to reduce energy consumption by up to 99.95% compared to the previous Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus model.
