Chainlink CCIP, Data Streams, and Price Feeds are now live on the Monad mainnet. This gives Monad developers access to a complete data and messaging layer from the first day of launch.

The services help builders handle cross chain messaging, low latency market data, and secure oracle updates for the MON token. Chainlink said that more than 15 DeFi protocols in the Monad ecosystem have already started integrating these tools.

Chainlink is now supporting Monad with multiple services: CCIP for cross chain messaging, Data Streams for low latency data, and Price Feeds for verified market updates. These services cover the core needs for building a DeFi protocol, from pricing and settlement to cross chain transfers.

Before this rollout, developers often had to use custom endpoints or patch together multiple services. By going live on Monad from day one, Chainlink gives builders a unified approach for secure data access across all DeFi categories.

Monad’s native token MON now has an official MON USD price feed and a real time data stream that developers can use to build lending markets, futures markets, collateral systems, and settlement layers. Projects across the Monad ecosystem can use the same data standard. This reduces inconsistency in pricing and market behavior.

Monad is a performance focused layer 1 blockchain. Its design aims to support advanced DeFi activity with high throughput and low confirmation times. To support this, developers need verified market data, cross chain communication that avoids manual bridging, and fast updates that match activity on centralized exchanges.

Chainlink Data Streams fits this need by giving sub second market updates. CCIP gives a safer path for cross chain transfers. Price Feeds give a reference rate that is widely used across major DeFi systems.

These components align with Monad’s target audience, which includes derivatives protocols, automated trading systems, and liquidity platforms. The integration helps reduce the need for projects to build their own off chain infrastructure.

Why Cross Chain Messaging Matters

CCIP is Chainlink’s cross chain messaging protocol. It is designed for asset transfers and cross chain communication that avoids common risks found in older bridges. The CCIP deployment on Monad allows developers to connect their apps to liquidity and users across other ecosystems.

With the launch of the MON token on Solana through Wormhole Labs’ Sunrise platform, cross chain messaging becomes even more important. Users can now access and trade MON on Solana without going through complex bridging steps. CCIP gives projects a way to build multi chain markets without needing to maintain separate systems for each chain.

MON Token Launch and Early Market Activity

The MON token debuted on November 24 at $0.025, matching the ICO price used by Coinbase for a fundraising round that brought in $269 million. According to Lookonchain, some early recipients sold immediately as the price dipped below the ICO level. One wallet that received 5.6 million MON sold 5.5 million tokens for $131,000.

Some bought aggressively. One user spent $1.3 million in USDC to buy 37 million MON at $0.0364. Another opened a leveraged long worth 171.6 million MON with an unrealised profit of $654,000. Daily trading volume reached $496 million.

Monad tokenomics

Total supply: 100 billion MON
Initial circulating supply: 10.8 billion MON
Allocations:

  • Ecosystem growth: 38 billion MON
  • Team: 26.9 billion MON
  • Investors: 19.6 billion MON
  • Public sale: 7.5 billion MON
  • Category Labs treasury: 3.9 billion MON
  • Airdrop: 3.3 billion MON

Investor, team, and treasury allocations are locked for at least one year. The airdrop went to 235,000 wallets. Some users felt the rewards were smaller than expected, but distribution rules followed participation data, volume, NFT activity, and other criteria.

Chainlink recently announced that its services are now live on Injective as the preferred oracle solution. This rollout includes Data Streams, Price Feeds, and cross chain messaging. Injective developers can now access low latency and verified market data directly within the network.

Injective confirmed that Chainlink is now active across its ecosystem, including Helix, the largest spot and perpetual venue built on the chain. Developers no longer need to maintain custom feeds or external data sources, which lowers operational risk.

Core benefits Injective gains from Chainlink

The Injective rollout includes:

  • Low latency price updates
  • Verified data pipelines
  • High frequency market support
  • Compatibility with Injective’s orderbook and Web3 modules
  • Ability to serve crypto, RWA, equity, and ETF price feeds

This creates a complete foundation for financial use cases. Developers can build applications for real time stocks, ETFs, tokenized assets, and crypto markets using the same data infrastructure.

Injective already had a native orderbook, Web3 finance tools, MultiVM support, shared liquidity, and RWA modules. Data was the final missing layer. Adding Chainlink completes the stack and creates a more unified development workflow.

Conclusion

Monad now has Chainlink CCIP, Data Streams, and Price Feeds available from its first day. This gives developers access to secure cross chain messaging, low latency data, and a unified price standard for MON and other assets. Injective’s integration builds on the same tools, forming a complete stack for financial applications. Combined with tokenization efforts and new cross chain liquidity routes, these developments give builders a clear environment for creating production ready DeFi systems.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Chainlink services are available on Monad

Monad supports Chainlink CCIP, Data Streams, and Price Feeds. These tools give developers verified market data, cross chain messaging, and real time pricing for MON.

Why do developers use Chainlink Data Streams

Data Streams provide sub second market data with a verified pipeline. This is useful for trading platforms, lending markets, and derivatives systems that need fast updates.

How does CCIP help Monad projects

CCIP provides a safer method for cross chain messaging and asset transfers. It allows apps to connect to liquidity and markets across multiple chains without using separate infrastructure.
