@Tether has authorized and minted $2 billion in new $USDT on the @Ethereum network over the past 72 hours, pushing the stablecoin's total circulating supply to a new record high.

On-chain data from Arkham confirms the freshly minted tokens have moved from the Tether Treasury to major exchange clearing addresses, a pattern typically associated with preparation for increased trading activity or liquidity provisioning on centralised platforms.

The move comes during a period of heightened global market volatility, with investors closely watching stablecoin flows as a gauge of broader crypto market sentiment.
