@NEARProtocol has embedded @HyperliquidX perpetual futures directly into near.com, giving users access to leveraged derivatives trading without ever leaving the platform.

What the Integration Offers

Users can now deposit assets from more than 35 supported chains. Those assets are automatically swapped to USDC and made available for trading on Hyperliquid's perpetuals exchange, which currently lists more than 50 markets with leverage of up to 40x. The experience is fully contained within near.com, with no need to navigate to a separate interface or bridge funds manually.

The integration is built on NEAR's chain abstraction stack. In practice, that means a user can fund a position from whichever supported chain they already hold assets on, and the protocol handles routing to where the liquidity sits.

On the Hyperliquid side, the platform brings considerable depth to the integration. Artemis Analytics data shows Hyperliquid captures more than 70 percent of the perpetual DEX market in open interest, while DefiLlama puts 30-day perp volume across the exchange at nearly $177 billion. Every trade and order book entry lives on-chain, with no custody of user funds.

What Comes Next, and Who Is Excluded

NEAR has signalled that confidential perps are the next feature on the roadmap. The idea is that users would be able to trade without exposing their wallet history on-chain. NEAR's confidential execution environment for cross-chain transactions is designed to allow users to toggle between transparent and private accounts, mitigating risks such as front-running, MEV extraction, and strategy copying by hiding transaction details during settlement.

There is one significant restriction. The feature is not available to users located in the United States or Canada. That existing geographic limitation on Hyperliquid carries over into the near.com integration.

The move adds NEAR to a growing list of platforms embedding Hyperliquid infrastructure. Earlier this month, OpenSea's product team teased the arrival of perps on that platform, also powered by Hyperliquid's builder codes.
