Spot $HYPE ETFs have still not seen a single day of outflows...

Spot Hyperliquid ETFs from Bitwise and 21Shares have recorded net inflows every single day since launch, hitting a record $25.46M in a single session and collectively holding nearly 1% of all HYPE tokens in circulation.

Spot $HYPE ETFs have still not seen a single day of outflows...

An Unbroken Inflow Streak

Since launching in mid-May 2026, the two US-listed spot $HYPE exchange-traded funds from @Bitwise and @21shares have yet to record a single day of net outflows. The rally in Hyperliquid's native token coincides with an unbroken inflow streak into the first US spot HYPE ETFs. Zero outflow days. Not a single session of net selling.

Two products are driving the action: 21Shares' THYP, trading on Nasdaq, and Bitwise's BHYP, listed on the NYSE. Both went live in mid-May 2026. The Bitwise Hyperliquid ETF began trading on NYSE on May 15, 2026, under the ticker BHYP. BHYP is among the first spot Hyperliquid ETPs in the US and the first to offer in-house staking.

The two US-listed HYPE ETFs recorded a 50% single-day volume surge on May 20 and $25.5M in net inflows on that session. Estimated cumulative net inflows have ranged between about $54 million and $75 million, including one reported single-day inflow of $25.5 million. Kairos Research data showed spot HYPE ETFs absorbed 1.04% of Hyperliquid's market capitalization during their first 10 trading days. That figure corresponds to the roughly 1-in-100 $HYPE tokens now held by the two products.

Rotating Capital and a Growing Platform

Spot HYPE ETFs from 21Shares and Bitwise attracted a combined $53 million in inflows after only a few trading sessions, according to Bloomberg data. FalconX noted those inflows represented a larger percentage of HYPE's market capitalization than early inflows into spot Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana ETFs at similar stages.

The strong demand comes as broader crypto ETF flows are shifting. Investors pulled over $1 billion from Bitcoin ETFs last week and over $215 million from Ether funds. Instead, capital rotated into select altcoins, with new HYPE spot products drawing about $72 million and XRP and SOL ETFs attracting smaller shares.

Hyperliquid's perpetual futures exchange saw $2.9 trillion in trading volume in 2025, an increase of more than 400% from the prior year, and the platform commands approximately 60% of all onchain derivative open interest globally. Its native token, HYPE, has risen to become the tenth-largest crypto asset in the world after less than two years of trading, with a market cap of over $11 billion.

Bitwise has added a structural twist to BHYP. Bitwise's prospectus includes a provision that allocates 10% of the fund's management fee to buying and staking HYPE, creating a small but persistent structural buy-side flow that adds to the protocol's existing fee-driven buyback mechanism.

Still, risks remain. If trading volumes on Hyperliquid decline, fee revenue drops and the buyback engine loses horsepower. Any competitive threat to Hyperliquid's dominance in decentralized perps, whether from dYdX, GMX, or a newer protocol, would directly impact the token's structural support. Hyperliquid is, at its core, a single-team protocol on a single Layer-1 blockchain. Jeff Yan and the founding team have outsized influence on protocol direction. A failure of the team, the chain, or the validator set would be a much sharper event than a comparable failure on Ethereum or Solana, where redundancy and distribution are deeper.
