Michael Saylor Calls Protocol Changes The Biggest Threat To Bitcoin
Strategy co-founder @saylor said the greatest risk to Bitcoin comes from "ambitious opportunists advocating protocol changes," not external threats like quantum computing.
His comments are widely seen as targeting BIP-110, a controversial soft fork proposal that aims to restrict non-monetary data storage on Bitcoin's blockchain.
The proposal has gained about 2.38% node support.
Saylor has defended the right to inscribe data on Bitcoin as long as fees are paid.
Blockstream CEO Adam Back backed his stance, saying Bitcoin's greatest value lies in its immutability.
