Solana Foundation President Says Hacker Real Targets Are Now Humans
Solana Foundation President @calilyliu via a post on X, confirms the recent Drift incident was driven by social engineering and opsec failures rather than smart contract flaws.
"Smart contracts held up. The real targets now are humans: social engineering and opsec weaknesses more than code exploits."
The Foundation is currently working alongside @DriftProtocol to investigate and contain the impact across the ecosystem.
Liu emphasized that while the event "stings," the underlying network and code remained secure during the attack.
The focus now shifts to hardening human-centric security protocols to prevent future breaches within the network.
